Dr. Keny Felix is an associate professor of counseling at Liberty University, a licensed therapist in Florida and Georgia, and an ordained minister who strategizes with individuals and organizations to prioritize wellness and foster growth. With over two decades of experience as a mental health clinician, educator, and minister, Dr. Felix uniquely addresses wellness and mental health from an integrative perspective, bridging the gap between spirituality and mental health while challenging the stigma of mental illness in diverse communities. He is the former Dean of the Schools of Counseling and Psychology at Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta. Along with his present role at Liberty, Dr. Felix serves as the lead pastor of Bethel Evangelical Baptist Church in Miami Gardens, FL, where the aim is to impact lives and transform communities.
Dr. Felix completed his Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Economics and his Master of Science in Education at the University of Miami. He holds a Master of Divinity in Psychology and Counseling, Master of Theology, a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology and Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and certification as a Georgia Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor.
Dr. Felix is a member of the American Counseling Association, Christian Association for Psychological Studies, American Association of Christian Counselors, and the Licensed Professional Counselor Association of Georgia, where he often presents on topics related to the integration of spirituality in clinical mental health counseling, multiculturalism, wellness, and ethics. Today, Dr. Felix also continues to equip pastors and faith leaders on various aspects of ministry, including pastoral wellness, marriage and family wellbeing, and understanding the dichotomy between mental health and spiritual warfare.
