About this speaker
Maxwell Leadership Certified speaker and coach; pastor, counselor, bestselling author, and professor; Dr. Sharon Arrindell, inspires audiences to pick up the pieces of their lives and become whole, through the power of "Redemption Song." Some of the lyrics to Bob Marley’s 1980 Redemption Song speak volumes about how she has evolved over 20 plus years, into Dr. Sharon Arrindell (fondly called Dr. Sharon). She relocated from Jamaica West Indies to the United States in September 1970. She is driven to mirror the inscription “ENTER TO LEARN GO FORTH TO SERVE”, written on the outside wall of a church she attended in Harlem, New York for 20+ years
After many years in the fashion business, Dr. Sharon re-entered her academic career to pursue a career in counseling. She spent four years in the public-school system in New York, working with autistic children. After residing for thirty-six years in New York, she relocated to Florida with her two young children. She spent eleven years in Florida’s public schools, as a school counselor, and also performed many duties in professional development for the middle school staff where she worked. In 2007 she became an adjunct professor at several universities, teaching counseling and psychology courses. She currently teaches online at Indian River State College in Florida, and Montreat Christian College in North Carolina, teaching graduate and undergraduate counseling and psychology courses. With eighteen plus years teaching in higher education, she encourages others through her talks, to enter or re-enter their academic career, like she did, to embrace opportunities to succeed and thrive. As a member of Global Women Speakers, she has been given the opportunity to speak virtually or in person in the US, the Caribbean, Paris, and Spain, never ever compromising her God.
Dr. Sharon has been either featured in, or graced the cover of several magazines, including New York Weekly, telling her story so others could thrive. She has also been featured on several podcasts and local television broadcasts. She is a board certified licensed Christian Marriage and Family Therapist. Dr. Sharon is the CEO/owner of Inspired Wholeness Enterprise, creating Inspired Wholeness Ministries, Inspired Wholeness School and a faith-based practice, Wholeness Counseling/Coaching Service, serving engaged and married couples, and women. She started two coaching programs, “The Waiting Room” for women and “The Marriage P.U.S.H.” for couples. She also created an online course for pastors and church leaders called “The Shepherd’s Call”.
She holds a Bachelors, a Master of Science in Counseling, and two Doctorates, one in Biblical Studies in Biblical Counseling and the other in Education Leadership (EdD). She is the author of several published books: Amazon bestseller Armored and Victorious: Memoirs of a Crossover Season, Weapons for Victory: Memoirs of a Perfect Storm, Christian Divorce Wars, 31 Days of Wholeness, Newbies in the Kingdom, Embracing Our Queenly Anointing, Embracing Our Queenly Anointing: Second Edition and The Shepherd’s Call. She also collaborated on The Fiercely Unstoppable Entrepreneur, which became a #1 international bestseller.
She functions on the pastoral board at All Nations Life Development Christian Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida, and refers to herself as “a pastor with a church beyond the walls of the physical church”. She was ordained and is nurtured and covered as a pastor by Federation of Independent Revolutionary Ministries (FIRM), under the leadership of Apostle Samuel E. Beasley in Pensacola, Florida. She is married to her friend and dream guy, Keith Arrindell and together have 5 children and 10 grandchildren. Visit her websites at drsharonarrindell.com or inspiredwholenesscounseling.com
